Who Knew?

 Cauliflower Bread

Tasty nutritional bread is my goal. First I invent a bread recipe, make the bread, construct a composition, take a few photos and paint a picture! Oh and of course my husband and I enjoy the bread a little later. There is a site online where you can enter your recipe ingredients and the program will give you a breakdown of calories and nutrients. You won’t believe the nutrients in this soft white fluffy bread: Vitamin C, Copper, Folate, Iron, Manganese, Magnesium, Niacin, Riboflavin, Selenium, Thiamin, Zinc, Phosphorus, protein and no cholesterol.  If you would like to see how vital all of these vitamins and minerals are in our diet, Google them on the internet.
Who knew?

In my very first blog, I mentioned that I would tell you about the painting process used to create my style of mixed media and acrylic paintings.
In this photo you can see a few of my imprinted white tissue papers. A variety of methods have been used to create interesting textures and patterns on the white tissue papers.

The papers are then torn in various sizes and applied to a canvas with matt medium. This is the under painting.

Now the canvas is ready for me to create my painting using glazes and veils.

If you look closely at the finished painting you can see some of the tissue paper textures and patterns.

The end result is always an exciting surprise!
